Wot-A-Pullet to launch new brand finance package

Leading pullet rearer Wot-A-Pullet will make its debut at the forthcoming Pig and Poultry Show to launch its new look and a pullet finance offer for existing and new egg producers.

East Yorkshire based business Wot-A-Pullet has invested in a new look and a new finance offering as it gears up for an ambitious expansion programme.

Matthew Green, Wot-A-Pullet’s Managing Director said: “It’s a very exciting time for us as we prepare for the next stage in our business growth. We have invested in a brand redesign, a new website and have an exciting finance offer to attract new farmers into egg production.”

In 2010, the team at Wot-A-Pullet’s sister company, Wot-An-Egg, spotted a gap in the market for an independent business supplying premium pullets and Wot-A-Pullet was launched.

“We launched Wot-A-Pullet after continually being disappointed in the quality of the pullets that we were buying for our free range egg business, Wot-An-Egg, and the knock-on effects this had on egg production and profitability.

We were keen to improve industry standards by promoting best practice and set out to establish Wot-a-Pullet as the gold standard in pullet rearing. Over the last six years, we have invested in infrastructure and the people to facilitate this and we now rear over 3 million pullets at 13 farms nationwide and have a reputation for growing some of the most productive pullets in the UK.”

Pullet financing is subject to credit approval. More details will be available from Stand 458 at the British Pig and Poultry Show that takes place at the National Agricultural Exhibition Centre at Stoneleigh on 10 – 11 May 2016.
